We got sunshine!

After seeing the weather reports yesterday we were sure it would be a stay home and get stuff done weekend, But when we woke up this morning the birds were singing and the sun was shining! Should we get all that stuff done on our list?...
NAH! LETS GO TIDE POOLING!!!
This is the north end of Kaena Point Recreation Area.
Can you find the crab? He's almost eating size :)
There were hundreds of shield urchins
I was very proud of this shot :)
I found the most perfect crab molt! It had everything intact, even the little eye covers!

We got really lucky :) It has been down pouring lately. They sun does manage to squeeze out for a little bit everyday but there is minor flooding in several parts of the island! One really awesome thing that happens is that when it rains hard, waterfalls pop up everywhere all over the mountains. I've been trying to get a good picture but have had no luck. Then I found this awesome blogger here on Oahu. He featured the falls in his most recent post:
Its hard to get a perspective on these but they are extremely tall. To help with scale most if not all of the greenery you can see on the slopes are full grown trees.
