Age

Growing up always seemed like such a hassle, Getting old even more so.
In the not so distant past I honestly felt, it would be best to check out and leave this rock before age 40.
But the older I get, the more I start to realize that every stage of this life is a grand adventure,
So you know what?
I think I will grow old:

  1. I know that I am super hormonal but that just made me cry. The Up couple has always reminded me of you and Richard. I am so glad he has found someone so wonderful to have adventures with for the rest of his life.

  2. Hurray! and I think we've talked about it before, how that's the way it is raising children, too; each stage is so cool... baby, toddler, little kid, teen to adult years.. BTW, you know your Papa felt that way too when he was young? Except he thought age '30' was the number. The older he gets the more he thinks, 'Wait, wait! I'm not done yet!' & always likes to say when we're feeling run-down: 'Well getting old sure beats the alternative' ;)

  3. I agree that life only gets better if you can just hold on during the hard times. It seems that the best times are after the difficult times. My 50's are the best time yet. Seeing my children happy, loving my grandchildren and being at one with the love of my life. What isn't there not to love?
